Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

We are 552 feet above the water.The Mackinac Bridge, pronounced MAK-in-aw, is a suspension bridge spanning the Straits Of Mackinac to connect the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan. Traveling across the bridge should be on everyone's list of things to do. When traveling across the bridge keep an eye out for freshwater sharks and whales. The 4.995 mile bridge is the world's longest bridge between anchorages in the Western Hemisphere. The bridge was designed by David B Steinman and completed in 1957. You can walk on the bridge every Labor Day Monday. It takes seven years to paint the bridge, and when completed, it begins again. The depth of water beneath the center of the bridge is 250 feet.
The freighter in the picture is the Kaye E Barker. The Barker was built in 1952. It is 767 feet long and can carry 25,900 gross tons of cargo. In 2012 the Barker received two new Rolls-Roy...
